Meredith Towbin writes dark contemporary young adult fiction.
Her first novel, STRAIGHTJACKET, explores teen mental illness.
Before she wrote fiction for teens, she taught them all about English lit in the classroom. Later she edited textbooks and wrote review workbooks for, once again, all those lucky teens.
These experiences, along with her own vivid memories of being an awkward teenager, provide material for her works in progress.
