Variant Series Week: Top Ten Monday: Favorite Book Boyfriends by Jena Leigh

Our fabulous friend and author, Jena Leigh, has released the second book in her awesome Variant Series, RESISTANCE, and to help celebrate, we're throwing a Variant Series Week Long Special =) Today's Top Ten Monday comes from Jena where she discuses some of her favorite books and the boys she just can't help but swoon over *hehe*

TOP TEN BOOK BOYFRIENDS

10. Jem Carstairs from Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices series – This silver-haired, violin-playing sweetheart stole my heart in the very first book of the series. Endlessly kind and loyal to a fault, Jem can still battle demons with the best of them (provided he has the strength to do so). He’s basically a gentle-natured badass, and that more than earns him a spot on this list!
9. Jared Lynburn from Sara Rees Brennan’s the Lynburn Legacy – This mysterious bad boy from the Lynburn series is just brooding and conflicted enough to make me fall in spite of my better judgment. But isn’t that always the way it goes? Now, if only I could wish some of my own imaginary friends into reality . . .
8. Levi from Robin Rowell’s Fangirl – What’s not to love about Levi? He’s sweet, funny, knows his way around a ranch, and has fantastically floppy hair… But it was Levi’s sense of humor that really had me swooning!
7. Luc Cain from Lisa Desrochers’ Personal Demons series – It’s not every day I find myself falling for a demon, but Luc Cain makes for a smoking hot exception. As Luc himself put it, “…How hot would you like it? I'm capable of all levels of hotness, from Luc-warm to—and I'm being literal here—hotter than Hell.”  He’s one (barely) reformed bad boy that I definitely can’t get enough of!
6. Daemon Black from Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Lux series – Daemon is exactly the sort of sexy, snarky, hot alien neighbor-boy that needs to move in to my apartment complex. Seriously… Needs. To. Happen.
5. Cricket Bell from the Stephanie Perkins novel Lola and the Boy Next Door– I have a thing for tall guys. And sweethearts. And geeky inventor–types. So, basically, I have a thing for Cricket Bell.
4. Jesse de Silva from Meg Cabot’s Mediator series– Nothing like discovering a tall, dark, and handsome dead guy haunting the bedroom of your new Californian home. I’d happily trade places with Suze Simon and be Jesse’s querida any day!
3. Drew Evans from Tangled by Emma Chase – Successful, hot, sarcastic, cocky and totally irresistible. Drew Evans might just be the sexiest book boyfriend I’ve found in a while. His rapier wit had me laughing through the entire book. And if there’s one thing I absolutely can’t resist, it’s a sexy smartass with an excellent sense of humor. It’s pretty much my kryptonite.
2. Patch Cipriano from Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush series – Patch is one gorgeous bad boy I would love to have met in my Bio class. Unfortunately for me, my high school was somewhat lacking in its supply of fallen angels.

1. Nate Palladino from the Variant series – Although Declan—with his puckish grin and sarcastic sense of humor—will always have a place in my heart, it’s actually Nate that I really can’t get enough of. He’s that perfect combination of sweet, sexy, and slightly mysterious—and once more of his backstory comes to light in Books 2 and 3, I doubt I’ll be alone in wanting a Nathaniel of my very own!

Resistance (The Variant Series, #2)

Genre: YA Fantasy

Check out on Goodreads!

Purchase on Barnes & Noble and Amazon!

Synopsis: Alexandra Parker might be the most powerful Variant the world has ever seen—but even that won’t get her out of finishing her junior year of high school.

The challenge of keeping her abilities under wraps during class is daunting enough, but throw one surly, sandy-haired Jumper into the mix, and things can get downright complicated.

Declan’s new job? Watch over Alex while she’s at school and do everything in his power to keep her from losing control. But as sparks of every kind begin flying between Alex and her new bodyguard, she's left feeling more unstable than ever.

When avoiding her abilities results in a surprise visit from her parents’ killer, Alex’s worlds collide with a bang that nearly levels Bay View High.

With her freedom now squarely in the Agency’s crosshairs, Alex will be faced with the fight of her life… and a decision that could forever alter the course of her destiny.
